All I had to do to remove the permanent marker from my screen was re-scribble over the permanent marker ink with a dry erase marker (any color will do as shown above), wait 20 seconds and. Screen Marker is a lightweight utility that runs quick, requires very little overhead and can be portable. You can persist them by saving images or recording video, but that kind of functionality isn’t built-in or directly supported in any way. Of course, the notes you make with Screen Marker don’t have to be fleeting. Screen Marker, on the other hand, is meant for using on the fly to create transitory notes. OneNote is sophisticated and intended for persistent notes. If you’re familiar with Microsoft OneNote, then note that while it’s similar in some ways, it’s quite different in others. Write or draw whatever you wish, and then when you’re done, wipe it away. When Keynote is in Play, and is set to show Presenter Display, with the displays not mirrored in System Preferences (see image below) the display arrangement is in Extended Display, meaning, a connected external display (the projector) becomes an extension of the MacBook display. ![]() It gives you a transparent overlay that can overlap PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, webpages or whatever.
